One of the unfortunate consequences of the modern day work environment is that many jobs require one to be seated in front of a desk for extremely long periods of time, for days on end, throughout much of the whole year. As you can very well imagine this environment puts the human body through an entirely different set of stress conditions from what it would normally go through in a more physical activity.
